Very comfortable. My husband and I were able to nod off to sleep while waiting with the crowds for the Pope's visit. Carrying them slung over each shoulder perfectly balanced made the 25 minute walk from the park to the bus..'a walk in the park!' Repacking them into the cover can be a little tricky to get the bits to fit back in neatly. One has to take time to get it right.
